Le illustrazioni della siculianese Rosaria Costa pubblicate in inghilterra

Venerdì 22 Settembre a Portsmouth (Hampshire GB) è stato presentato “Bill and the little red plane” il nuovo libro di Jonathan Walker brillante autore di libri e poesie per bambini.
Per le illustrazioni è stata scelta la giovane artista siculianese, Rosaria Costa che, con l’uso della tradizionale tecnica della gouache, è riuscita ad approdare nel mercato editoriale inglese.

Avventura e il profondo bisogno di salvaguardare la natura, sono i punti chiave della favola.
“Bill and the little red plane”  è un racconto senza tempo, una favola educativa sulla geografia e la natura.
Bill e l’aviatore Edward seguiranno, sul piccolo aeroplano rosso, la migrazione dei rondoni. Questo viaggio li porterà a Sud, a scoprire le meraviglie della natura, viaggeranno dall’Inghilterra sino alla foresta pluviale africana, sorvolando la Spagna , la Francia, il deserto e la savana.

“Bill was playing in the garden when he saw a flock of swifts in the sky. The swifts appeared to be migrating. But where? Bill wanted to know. Out of nowhere appeared a little red plane performing stunts! Bill didn t know his parents had organised a flight for him in the plane! He had never been so excited in his life! Bill and Edward the pilot set out to follow the swifts. Their mission: to discover where swifts fly. The quest took them further than they ever thought small gardens birds could go. Bill took lots of photographs of new countries and strange animals as the swifts led them south. Neither Bill, Edward the pilot, nor the little red plane had ever been so far. That night, still full of awe at the swifts, an amazing thought struck Bill that left him with even more questions!”

Il libro pubblicato da Chirpy stories, è il primo di una collana dedicata alla natura, la geografia e la storia, la prossima avventura di Bill sarà pubblicata nel 2018.
“Bill and the little red plane” è in vendita in tutte le librerie del Regno Unito e online in diversi formati, audiolibro, epub/kindle e cartaceo in copertina rigida e soft.
Attualmente Rosaria Costa sta lavorando alle illustrazioni del suo secondo libro “The bat cave”, edito da Chirpy stories, che uscirà nel gennaio 2018.
